Hydropower has proven its advantages, such as 100% clean energy, high reliability and availability, high efficiency, low maintenance costs and capability to adjust the generation output.
Large hydropower potential in Indonesia is about 75 GW, while only 4.2 GW or less than 6% have been utilized so far. Small hydro potentials, which have been identified could provide electric power capacity equal to 1359 MW. Currently, less than 200 MW has been utilized for power generation.
So, there is undeveloped potential for Large hydropower for about 90% and for Small Hydropower is 80%.
From business view, hydro power plant especially small scale is an attractive and simple pricing structure and relatively high acceptability among local people.
Dalle Energy through Dalle Hydro Energy plans to develop 200 MW Hydropower Plant. Currently, DHE have 5 Small Hydro Projects with 30 MW total capacity and identified several good location as well as continuously looking other prospective area for Small Hydro Project.
